Glen Arbor & Sleeping Bear Dunes Area – Just a mile or two from lovely downtown Glen Arbor, relax in The Homestead and be close to everything! You can even walk along the beach all the way into town. All of that activity surely makes you thirsty so why not grab a beer or a soda and burger at Art’s Tavern in Glen Arbor or Joe’s Friendly Tavern in Empire. Just west of Glen Arbor is the historic town of Glen Haven that boats historical displays, the Coast Guard museum, and a great sandy beach. In Empire, hike the Empire Bluffs trail for amazing views and have a picnic at the public beach. When the snow arrives, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are great ways to enjoy nature.
