THE VILLAGE OF NORTHPORT – This wonderful area is worth the drive! Travel north from Suttons Bay along the M-22 corridor that curves around the bay through vineyards and orchards to the beautiful town of Northport. At the very northern tip, this quaint town offers you art galleries, shops,roadside stands, a marina that welcomes large and small boats, parks and sandy beaches. Check out the not-to-be-missed dog parade every summer. Music in the park every Friday night in the summer. Tucker’s is the local spot for bowling and dining in this fantastic new establishment. Pick up gifts while you’re going through town too. Don’t forget to stop at the friendly Barb’s Bakery that offers yummy cinnamon rolls and a steaming cup of coffee or the Eat Stop for a great lunch. Visit the Leelanau State Park just north of the village with fantastic views of Lake Michigan or spend some time at the Grand Traverse Lighthouse and state park.Also not to be missed Peterson Park and Christmas Cove for their beautiful Manitou views on sugar-sand beaches.
