Sweet Cherry is a beautiful studio cottage in the heart of Suttons Bay, perfect for two. Open year-round, this retreat has all the comforts of home. Spacious living/dining/sleeping area plus one bathroom. Sleeps up to 3.
There is a queen-sized bed plus an aero bed air mattress. The home is equipped with a modern mini-kitchen and a smart TV.
West Grand Traverse Bay is just across the side street. Sit out on the small patio and enjoy the water view. In the summer, enjoy the beautiful sandy beach and marina. Suttons Bay Library is steps away and welcomes guests to check out books and videos. Thinking of bringing a couple of friends? Rent Little Legal Beagle or Front Cottage across the driveway from Sweet Cherry. No driving is necessary here, restaurants, shops, and even the movie theater are within walking distance. Drive about 20 minutes to Traverse City and 30 minutes to the Sleeping Bear Dunes. Head north and try your luck at the Leelanau Sands Casino.

The heater was not working properly so my husband and I had too sleep in our clothes to keep warm. We called Saturday morning and they sent someone out and said the fan was not turned on. They turned it on when we came back that night house was still cold so we had to sleep in our clothes again to stay warm . Luckily there was a space heater we could use when we were awake so at least we could take a stand change clothes. After checking out I called again to let them know the heater still needed to be fixed. At no time was I offered a discount or a credit for my next rental for this less the pleasant experience.

We loved the cottage-it’s so open and comfortable! It was so close to downtown Sutton’s Bay and across the street from a public beach!The suggestion that I have is this: please consider putting a taller toilet in the small cubbie it’s in OR add a handicap bar under the window!! Arrived 4/4, heat would not come on. I contacted Emer # and I received several instructions that I was asked to do,turn on/off circuit breaker etc. Heat did not come on, no one avail until Fri AM. I was told I would get a call at 8:30AM on Fri. Owner did bring an electric fireplace and that warmed the place up to tolerable. Fri, no one called. I ended up texting and was told heat was fixed..we still had cold air blowing while we were there. this should have been checked out before we arrived.

This is our second stay at this comfy home perfectly located in center of town. The rental staff communicated during the rental process via email and confirmed by phone just a couple of days before our stay. The home was clean and as described, though a bit worn.

Location was in great proximity to many area attractions. Parking was convenient in front to easily unload. Close to the beach. The kitchen was well stocked, but I chose to bring my own coffee pot, glasses and plates, dish towel, etc. The bathroom was clean except for the toilet. Bed was comfortable. When I arrived I easily obtained the key from the lock box (code provided) However, I found the sliding patio door unlocked when I entered. The condition of the cottage was okay. Other reviews mentioned the carpeting was stained, so I expected the same. The area rug was curled up and was a hazard to walk around. The ceiling lighting was very dim. I kept the curtains closed as it was on a very busy street. (loud outdoor bar nextdoor) The screens were separated from frame, allowing mosquitos inside. It was cool enough to shut off the A/C, but due to the screen damage, I could not keep windows open. One window didn't have a screen. The departure day(Monday) was trash pick up day. I was called on Sunday while I was traveling around & reminded to take the trash bin to the curb. I notified the management when I returned there was no trash bin (and about the screens) Overall, it was okay, but could benefit from attention to above mentioned issues.

No mow for May ended on May 31. We arrived on June 4 to a knee high grass all around rental. Looked awful. Screens did not fit the windows, letting in bugs. No screen on sliding door to patio. they finally mowed just before we left. Not happy about the appearance, looked runned down. I had to walk through the high grass, weeds to get the garbage can from the street behind on Monday after garbage was picked up.

It was a beautiful, small cottage that was so close to restaurants and the beach. It had the basics of what we needed for our short stay. It was cold in the home when we got there, but Michigan in January, it happens. A drawer in the dresser was broken when we got in, but we didn’t use the dresser and we couldn’t connect to the internet, but we used our own hotspot. I would definitely stay again. My husband also agrees.

The home was as described. Great location right on Main Street, and you could see some of the Bay out the back windows. Walk to any of the restaurants or shops in town. The wall mounted heater remote was a bit of a challenge to figure out, but we were never left in the cold. Very clean, plenty of towels, etc. Relaxing, convenient, and worth the drive.

We loved the little details in this rental--the kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed. The house was clean and it was easy to walk to everything we needed. The restaurant across the street was delicious!The trees around the cottage are much larger than the picture and the cottage is set back from the road. It is difficult to find in the dark.

We had a great time staying at this cute Suttons Bay getaway. The cottage was in a great location to explore Leland, Suttons Bay and Traverse City. Also made Suttons Bay super walkable, its located near ice cream, the library, the beach, and other nice restaurants. If you are planning to cook, be sure to bring an extra baking sheet, but other than that the cottage provided everything necessary to cook! Would love to return to this place in the future:)

It's a sweet little cottage , perfect for one ( plus dog). It's very well designed but more for a warmer weather stay. Kitchen is small but mighty, bed is comfortable. Location cannot be better! I only took one star off for the unresolved WiFi issue. I kept using my phone as a hot spot to hook up my laptop to work and stream TV. A heated blanket or mattress pad could help with the chill and save energy over a space heater.

This place was perfect for a quick getaway! It was a cold weekend, but still a great location to check things out as most things were still open even though it was off season. Everything in the cottage was great, the only thing we had a problem with was the heat! It was not working well and we were freezing. Luckily we brought extra blankets and bundled up!

Right down town Suttons Bay, across the street from the public beach. Place is really set up for a couple. Best restaurant in town is right across the street. Highly recommend Martha’s. Right in the biking trail that takes you to Traverse City. The place was clean and nicely decorated. Parking can be an issue, especially during peak season and there is no room for a boat. The place was great!we have stayed here several times in the past few years. We love the location. The carpet is in need of replacement. It is ripped and stained. The rugs are hazardous. Other than that we plan to return . When? Uncertain .We love Sutton’s Bay!

The Sweet Cherry was very quaint. The decor was bright and fun. Loved the cherry wall paper and the open shelves. Clean and everything was ready for us. Its right in middle of Suttons Bay and walking distance to good restaurants and beach. Bike path is directly behind it. Only issue we had was that the couch was uncomfortable.

This cottage is in a great location. We were able to walk to the beach every morning and walk to a number of restaurants and stores nearby. Suttons Bay and the surrounding area have a lot to offer with a number of great small towns, places to eat, beaches to swim at etc. As for the cottage itself, it was clean, comfortable, and private. Exactly what we wanted. There was a new sofa that are 7 year old used for sleeping and he gives it a A+ review. My wife and I slept on the murphy bed which was perfect. We like to cook our dinner at home and there was more than enough space to do so. The kitchen had everything we needed. Overall, a very good experience.

My wife and I (and our Corgi,Max) had a wonderful long weekend in Suttons Bay! The cottage was a very short walk to the water front, less than a block. It was also located within walking distanace of most of the downtown area, which offers something for everyone!!We ate twice at The VI, outdoors in the "dog friendly" area. Had a great pizza from Premonitions Pizza and two really good breakfasts from The 45th Parallel Cafe!!The cottage looked exactly like it does in the pictures! AND it was spotless. Well equipped with just about everything you need. Our only complaint would be the bed,BUT, we are used to pretty firm King at home, but we did fine. I wouldn't hesitate to come back!!The town is very dog friendly with lots of places to walk. We enjoyed our walks to the marina and out onto the piers. One note to everyone: Suttons Bay takes wearing a mask while indoors VERY seriously, during the Covid19 crisis. It was refreshing seeing everybody compling with this rule. SO WEAR YOUR MASK!!

This is a very cute cottage and we enjoyed our stay in Sutton’s Bay. When we arrived, we found we there was no hot water. Although is was June 8, we were the first renters of the season. We put in a call and the owner and property manager were there within 15 minutes, so that was great. We did feel the place needed a touch up clean. There were lots of spider webs, and it looked a bit dusty. We loved the decorating, but it needs a spruce up, new carpet and a new couch would be great. We would stay there again, as the location was terrific with beach and many shops and restaurants within walking distance.

We had a lovely stay at the Coral Shutter cottage. The location doesn't get much better, with plenty of places to walk to and a park nearby at the edge of the water. We stayed in March when it was still chilly and the heat was a little unpredictable. When we arrived the house was only 50 degrees and it took about 45 minutes to get everything warmed up. The heat also doesn't reach the bathroom very well. We'd definitely recommend using the heater that plugs in that's provided to get everything warmed up fully. The couch in the property is really old and the leather is flaking off of it, we were picking little pieces of white couch off our clothes all weekend. Perhaps it could be covered? Overall, we had a lovely stay and would stay again.

We had a great time at Sweet Cherry. The owner has made it a warm and convenient place to stay. It is easy walking distance to all the shops, restaurants, and a perfect dog walking park.There was a lot of construction all around us, but it wasn't really a big deal because we were out most the day.What did surprise us was the oven didn't work. We had read a previous review where that was an issue and we figured it be resolved by the time we got there. The internet is really non existent. We used our Iphone for a hot spot, but the TV was fine.My wife left a pair of earrings and the management let us know right away and mailed them to us.We would recommend this rental to any couple.

Was excellent! The only thing I would suggest for this Cottage is a full length mirror in the bathroom maybe behind the door so you can see a full view when you are getting ready. We were there for a wedding so it was kind of hard to see a full view of yourself. Other than that excellent place wonderful location would definitely come back again.

This site comes fully equipped for a couple wanting a small getaway cottage. It is a block away from the beach and a block from the lovely town of Sutton's Bay. The cottage was clean and welcoming. The carpet could use replacing. We did contact the management as there was no screen for the sliding glass door or one of the windows and the screen for one of the windows was sitting in the cottage. One additional item: the driveway into the cottage is a steep grade so park behind the cottage on the street so the front of your car doesn't scrape every time you leave the house. Except for these minor inonveniences, it is a wonderful place to stay.

We loved Coral Sutter Cottage! It’s a perfect little studio for two people. Walking distance to a beach and the shops & restaurants in Suttons Bay. We enjoyed being able to cook a few meals on our vacation and enjoy them outside on the patio. Unfortunately the oven was not working but the staff were super attentive and responsive. It was a very nice stay! We were pleased with the comfort of the bed, cleanlinesss of the bathroom & the location! It was great to have a spot to park. It was walkable to EVERYTHING in Sutton’s Bay & such an easy drive to Sleeping Bear, Traverse City, Leland and more! We walked every morning for coffee. There is a nice restaurant just down the road, many great restaurants 1-2 blocks away, and a great ice cream shop and restaurant across the street. The house practically backs up to the water, which is nice. The one change I would say is for them to leave hangers. I had no where to hang my clothes. Also ,5$3 drawers were all full so we had to live out of suitcases which I prefer not to do on vacation. Also! Wonderful patio that we really enjoyed most of the nights!

This was our second stay at Sweet Cherry or Coral Shutter. The first was five or six years ago. We love the location and the reasonable price but the sofa has to go! It was not comfortable then and now it is worn. Also, the new walkway to the back parking should have steps. We aren’t young and it had been raining quite a bit. Slippery.

The cottage is in a perfect location with the library and a park along the lake just across the street in back. There are many restaurants and other shops within walking distance. Even though it was unseasonably hot outside, the cottage was very comfortable. The management called everyday during our stay to be sure everything was Okay. Excellent location! Walking distance to restaurants, shopping, parks and beaches. As stated in other reviews the bed was very uncomfortable and my wife slept on the couch. Garbage disposal was unhooked but we didn't realize that until putting food in it. Everything else was excellent.

This comfortable, quaint cottage is perfect for a couple to relax and enjoy all that the area has to offer. You can walk down to the beach/picnic area, it's a short drive to tons of wineries and you are right smack in downtown Sutton's Bay.
