Beautiful all-sports Lake Leelanau is an ideal spot for a summer or winter getaway, and Shoreline Pines, a cozy, ranch-style home with a guest house situated on 100' of Lake Leelanau, is the perfect place to stay. The main house sleeps 8 with three bedrooms and a sofa bed and the guest house sleeps 3 with a king bed and single futon. The kitchen has been fully remodeled.

The yard is nicely shaded, and abundant seating is available on the deck and at the beach. Enjoy family dinners on the enclosed porch overlooking the lake, or enjoy the spacious yard and cook on the charcoal grill. Sit around the fire pit at the lake's edge, and soak up beautiful sunset views. Jump right off the dock into sparkling clear water!

This home is located minutes from the village of Lake Leelanau, and the public boat launch is just 1/4 of a mile away. The Sleeping Bear Dunes are about 25 miles away. Shoreline Pines is the perfect summer vacation location. This spot is simply amazing.

A Gem

Our group of three families with six adults and five children all enjoyed this rental home. The separate little hideaway was perfect for four of the children to have their own space. Everything was clean, the deck was wonderful and we loved the lake and kayaks. The con's were that the dishwasher was not working (although I contacted the rental agency and they seemed aware of the problem), the cupboards were a jumbled mess (I rearranged them and made some room for our groceries), and anyone that swam close to shore got swimmer's itch. We just rinsed off after swimming. This is a problem in most lakes that have geese or ducks and not much the owner's can do about it. Overall, this was a lovely place and I would recommend 100%.

Overall a great trip. The cottage was clean on arrival and entry was simple. The rooms are small but adequate and the 2 smaller rooms had AC which was great since it was very hot during our stay. It would have been nice if the large master bedroom also had AC since it was too hot to use it. Loved the deck and screen porch. Kitchen was cluttered but well stocked. One thing that needs fixing is the steps off the dock- one is broken and is a bit of a hazard. Can’t beat the location! Absolutely beautiful view onto quiet Lake Leelanau.

Peaceful Lake Vacation

We are a family of six and had a very restful five days at this home. Things started out pretty rocky, as the separate bedroom/bath had not been cleaned and no one provided us with information on how to get in. That was resolved, but then, the next morning, cleaners showed up and said we had to leave, not very politely. Obviously they were mixed up, and the managers chalked this all up to COVID-era confusion, but it was a little disconcerting. The house is lovely, with comfortable furniture. The kitchen is tiny so don't plan on cooking big meals, but it is serviceable, and worked for us as we mostly ordered in and warmed things up. Both screens to the decks come off track and need some work. The best thing about this place was proximity to the water. The kayaks were terrific, and the house is on a very quiet part of the lake. Location is also excellent: 1 mile from Lake Leelanau (NJ's Grocery there has everything you need), and 5 to 6 miles from Leland and Sutton's Bay. I biked and ran to both places, and it was easy and quick to pick up food from restaurants in the area. The house is right off the main road, but that doesn't take away from its peacefulness. The separate tiny "hut" was perfect for our older son and girlfriend - with us but also separate.

This property is one of the best we've stayed in and very well-managed - the main house is a classic up north cabin, but with an amazing newer master suite and a couple of enclosed porches that add more space for different activities like reading, puzzling or watching tv without interrupting each other. The guest house is adorable and beautifully furnished. The lot the houses sit on is spacious, with plenty of room to play and a really cool boathouse and dock. Being so near to Leland, Sutton's Bay and the Village of Lake Leelanau was also so nice. We highly recommend this place!

We gathered family members from across 3 southern states for this July 4 Family experience. The size and location of the property perfectly suited our needs. The property is pet friendly! The guest house and king master suite provided to be great places for our daughters and their families to have their own space when it was needed. We had great weather and we were able to include many outdoor activities into our visit. The wide dock and back deck allowed for ample seating so that we could enjoy the beautiful views. The management company contacted us to be sure that we were comfortable. We were able to enjoy many of the local July 4 activities. Thank you for offering this property!

We had a very nice stay at Shorelines Pines. We liked it that we were near many main areas such as Suttons Bay and Leeland (Fishtown) and Empire and Sleeping Bear Dunes. The location was good with a nice view. A couple improvements that could be made is that there needs to be more cupboard space for groceries(there wasn't any) there were too many cups/dishes taking up cupboard space. And the landscape needed some improvements

The area is amazing and the cabin is in an excellent central location for visiting Sleeping Bear Dunes, Traverse City, the small villages, beaches, wineries, etc. The cabin is awesome with everything we needed. Our only negative is the swimming. The frontage is not sandy as described, more a soft very sand to muck base. It wasn't pleasant swimming. We did paddle boarding and fishing on the lake instead and had a great time. I wouldn't consider this a great cabin for small kids to swim.

Beautiful Fall Weekend!

A group of 6 adults stayed comfortably in this home. All of us within minutes of arrival expressed interest in returning. 4 of us stayed in the main house and 2 in the guest house. We all slept well and enjoyed having our own bathrooms. The view of the lake is beautiful, especially with the Fall foliage. Obviously too cold to swim in mid-October, I do want to note the water is crystal clear w/ a sandy bottom. We did see some fishermen and kayakers out on the water.The house had everything we needed. It was very clean. Cozy, yet plenty of space for everyone.Nearby, we enjoyed many wineries (45 North, Blustone Vineyards, and Aurora). All highly recommended. Each very different in atmosphere, but all will stunning views and great wine! We also enjoyed sandwiches at the Village Cheese Shanty in Leland (just a 10 min drive) before it closed for the season (sooo delicious!). Bella Fortuna Italian restaurant in Lake Leelanau was also quite delicious. Although we did not spend time there this time around, Suttons Bay is also just a quick 10 min drive and has great restaurants and shopping.All in all a great stay and we will return! Thank you for making this so easy and enjoyable Visit Up North!

There is a new room to stay separate from the house. Right in the woods. We found the house clean.It has a room air conditioner.I recommended and would do it all over again.Great place for kids.

beautiful, quiet and lovely! this house has plenty of space for everyone, comfy beds and nice towels. the water was warm and inviting. not many boaters so the lake was mellow and just great!

Relaxing Week on the Lake

Our family truly enjoyed our stay at Shoreline Pines. The house (and little cabin) were very comfortable, the lake was beautiful and the sunsets and bondfires were spectacular. We walked into the little town of Lake Leelanau and enjoyed ****'s Pour and the Boathouse Winery. Sutton's Bay was a short ride with restaurants and shops to explore. Wonderful, peaceful week!

We had a great week staying in the Shoreline Pines property. The cottage is in great condition, as are the deck and dock. We were very comfortable, enjoyed the view and access to Lake Leelanau, and would stay in this property again!

Great house on Lake Leelanau. Right on the water with its own boathouse and pier. Very quiet yet close to shopping and dining in Sutton's Bay and Leland. Great sunsets, crystal clear nights--a great place to relax and hang out in style.

Shoreline Pines--June 2014

Lovely,new Master bedroom with firm King size bed,ceiling fan, new large bath with nice tub and shower, big closets and a full sliding door for ventilation. The deck had new Adirondack chairs,Weber grill,lightweight chairs by the fire pit that were comfortable. There was a great three season room leading out to the deck that had many windows and was delightful for getting a nice breeze. The flat screen TV was a nice touch with the internet hook up. The kitchen was older but adequate with a new, large refrigerator. The water was clear and our weather was good-a ladder would be nice from the dock. As it was just my wife and myself, we did not use either of the other two older bedrooms and we left the doors closed, but they might be hot in the summer without A/C, so a couple of floor fans might be nice for them. The area was very peaceful and quiet-except for our next door neighbor to the south who was building a house during our stay. He should be done before the end of the year and we would certainly like to come back next year.
