Enjoy spending some time at this charming two-bedroom cottage on Lake Leelanau. This cozy lake house offers comfortable lodging for up to 4 guests. The living room has plenty of seating overlooking the pretty lake views. There is wall-unit air conditioning and a wood-burning fireplace.
No more than 4 guests are allowed; however, there is a bunk house with one twin bed and a twin bunk bed if guests want to spread out. The bunkhouse does not have a kitchen or bathroom.
Enjoy the roomy yard. Walk out the door to a deck with comfortable outdoor seating and enjoy beautiful sunsets and fall color views. The huge yard is perfect for outdoor games. 100' of shoreline includes a dock and boat hoist that has a 3000 lb. limit. Three kayaks are included. There is a gas grill and a fire pit.
This cottage is just minutes from the village of Lake Leelanau. In the area are groceries, wineries, a distillery, antique shops, and restaurants. There is a boat launch just a couple of miles from the house. Suttons Bay and Leland are about 10 minutes away.
Your well-mannered pet is welcome. One dog only, please. Please clean up after your pet.

This is our third year staying at Leelanau Blue. It is everything we look for in a vacation rental. Most of all the view is spectacular. We vacation in October and are treated to a colorful display that gets better every day. Additionally, the location is perfect for the things we like to do, restaurants where we eat, groceries, wineries, etc. And for days when we just want to relax, knit, read cook and eat in, the cottage is perfect for that.

This was our second stay at Leelanau Blue. It is the perfect size for my husband and me, and our little Boston Terrier. It is clean and has all you need to make your stay a pleasant one, including quiet neighbors! The deck facing the lake has comfortable seating and nice for enjoying a book and a cold beverage. It is a great location for area golf courses and restaurants, and we can't wait to come back! I'd also like to add that Visit Up North is easy to work with, and I appreciate them checking in with us.

Our family of 3 humans and a dog had a great stay. The house was perfect for a group our size, and the location is convenient to everything up north. We swam, boated, read on the deck, watched the Olympics. The house had everything we needed -- dishes, kayaks, comfy seating indoors and out, fire pit, big yard -- except I didn't notice in the listing that there's no washer/dryer; wasn't an issue once we went shopping, but something to keep in mind when you pack.

Perfect size for our family of 3 that stayed. Only drawback was no washer or dryer. Otherwise the house was nicely filled with kitchen gadgets and met all of our needs. It was a great location, especially if you want to hit the wineries. The back deck was perfect. My father has mobility issues and the single floor living was ideal.

We stayed at the Leelanau Blue cottage for a second year in a row and were as satisfied this year as last. The cottage has everything we need for a comfortable, pleasing vacation. We come the first week in October and this year the weather was cold and rainy several days, but we stayed in the cottage and read, knitted and played games, all while enjoying the wonderful view. Writing this review reminds me that I need to book it for next year.

I have been coming Up North for over 40 years. First on Otsego Lake in Gaylord with my children's great grandparents and now the Leelanau Peninsula. This is by far the best vacation rental in these many years. Quiet, so well appointed and dog friendly. This is our second year and we will gladly stay return.

The interior of the Leelanau Blue cottage is modern & updated & was very clean. Two bedrooms, one is comfortable the other is tight on space. There is A/C but many of the windows lack screening so opening at night is not an option. The location is unbeatable, close to Suttons Bay and Leland. Ample outdoor furniture exists & is in good condition. There are 5 large tree stumps in the yard which pose a danger issue for kids playing & the dock was broken down at the seawall but passable. There is no ladder to get in/out of the water which made egress very difficult. The dock also had a lot of duck & seagull feces down near the end by the boat hoists.

Upon inspection we found the dock to have a slight dip in one corner. It is being repaired. My husband and I and our little Boston Terrier loved our stay at Leelanau Blue. It doesn’t look like much from the road, but inside is a designer’s dream. They have updated this small cottage beautifully, with tasteful furniture and décor, quality bedding and linens, drinkable tap water, good wifi and cable system, and everything you’d need to make your stay enjoyable. The air-conditioning unit was larger than expected, and with the heat wave that came through, it was very much appreciated. Ironically, we had to turn the furnace on a couple of days later. The deck had a comfortable, cushioned sectional which was fun to sit on and look out at the beautiful water, plenty of other nice deck chairs and a table/umbrella and chairs. The yard was plenty big to walk our dog around, quiet neighbors and neighborhood. My only wish list item would be a ladder to make going in and out of the water easier. This cottage was perfect for us and we can’t wait to come back.

Clean and newly remodeled house. Great location close to attractions like and right on Lake Leelanua. Cons no kitchen table, grill is in bad shape, no washer or dryer for longer stays. Loved this little place it was just enough space for the two of us. Kayaks available for use on sight is nice to explore the lake. It was too cold to swim but lake has a nice Sandy bottom. We had deer and waterfowl visit daily. We loved the area and want to make this a yearly vacation.

The cottage was decorated beautifully and the kitchen was stocked with quality cookware and dishes. The furnishings were up to date and excellent quality. Comfy beds and sheets. Just one bathroom but it was very nice.The view was perfect. Loved the kayaks but we had to pull them out from side yard and clean them before using.Upon arrival, I opened garbage and recycle bins to find the previous renter’s recyclables. There was no liner in the garbage, so I used a spare grocery bag. After walking barefooted, my family and I noticed the floors had dirt/ sand on them. I vacuumed the floors myself. Whoever cleaned the cottage is doing a disservice to the owners. It’s a beautiful place and lack of cleaning started our visit off on the wrong foot. Everything else was very clean. The water pressure in the kitchen sink was very low. Not a big deal, but with no dishwasher, it made doing dishes a little more tedious. The positives far outweighed the negatives. This place is a little gem!

Leelanau Blue was an absolutely amazing stay! The property was in a great location and was in great shape. It must have been redone recently, because all of the details were on point. Completely updated and incredibly inviting. Was a great place to come back to after a day on the water / out wine-tasting! What a beautiful property on lovely Lake Leelanau! This impeccably redone cottage has everything you want or need for your stay. Both functional and fun details in this small space! And quality kitchen supplies, lacking for nothing. As a late season renter, we did have to rely on living room heater unit, which made bedrooms on the cold side, but heavy duvets on the bed compensated pretty well.

We had a lovely stay at the Leelanau Blue rental property. The property has been recently updated and everything is absolutely first class, especially the bathroom which has a heated floor and luxurious walk-in shower. The living area is comfortable as is the bed in the front bedroom (we did not use the second bedroom). The view of the lake is wonderful and we enjoyed sitting on the dock. The location is excellent for our activities. We couldn’t have been happier with the experience.

We had the best time with our 2-year-old and yellow lab staying in the Leelanau Blue house. The house itself was extremely clean and so cute— we loved the cute design of the place as well as some of the creature comforts like the heated bathroom tile and blackout shades. The property was also beautiful— a nice yard, a sturdy dock, and a very convenient boat lift. The property Is in a great location, too. We spent time in Leland right around the corner, Sutton’s Bay only 7 minutes away,, and some quick trips to Traverse city.

The house was a great little gem hidden away on the Lake. It was newly updated and had every kitchen utensil you could possibly think of. Little disappointed the county only allows 4 guests, but perfect for the guests I took this time. The location was great. No more than 15 minute drive to any attraction we wanted to visit. We had a wonderful girls weekend. This was the iconic up north cottage of years gone by. Although it was nicely renovated on the inside the traditional cottage charm remained. Beautiful area on the lake. The cottage is conveniently located to all the best attractions off the M 22. The cottage was well equipped very clean with comfortable beds and lovely linens. We loved this little cottage and the rennovations they made. We had a very relaxing and sunny week. Clean, nice new bathroom, nice outdoor furniture, cozy bedrooms.Two areas to improve: there are 3 kayaks but only 2 paddles. There is, unbelieveably, no microwave. Every other thing you would need is in the kitchen but no microwave..? We would love to come back!

The house is small but fully renovated with modern decor. Kitchen is fully stocked with any and all cooking equipment you may need. There is no washer/dryer. The property is large and private. Right on the beautiful lake with a large dock for sun bathing. Close to the towns of Lake Leelanau and Suttons Bay and an easy drive to TC. Nice sunsets.

Very inviting cottage from the minute you step in! Magazine-worthy, completely renovated cottage style that took our breath away. Loved how close it was to the water, the large deck was perfectly situated on a lush lawn (not typical for these lake cottages) and a sandy, shallow beach - also not typical because you can get muck on Lake Leelanau instead of sand. We really enjoyed the kayaks, the long dock, evening sunsets, quiet neighborhood, and firepit each day. Book it before someone else does.

The cottage was newly remodeled and a pleasant surprise! The inside seemed bigger than expected and was extremely comfortable. The location on the lake was perfect, close to the narrows to get to the north end but also in an area that was calmer than the south end of the lake. It was a great location for wakeboarding and other water sports! There was a storm just before we arrived and a window was broken. The management team had someone out to clean-up the mess and board up the window temporarily within an hour of our arrival. Great customer service!

We don't even know where to begin....the house and bunkhouse were perfect for our family. Comfortable, restful and in a perfect location. And the renovations are amazing.

We had a lovely time at Leelanau Blue! The property and location on the lake is gorgeous. It was easy to communicate with the property owner, and they were very responsive to my questions. The lock was a little challenging, but we ended up figuring it out! The house was very clean, and we felt safe from a COVID perspective. You have mostly everything you need. WiFi worked well, bedding and furniture was nice, the TV was nice, and the outdoor space was wonderful. The hammock, firepit and of course the kayaks are a wonderful touch! We enjoyed the lake on the kayaks on the nice weather day we had during our trip. It is a 15-20 minute drive to mostly everything... TC, Fishtown, Newport, Wineries, etc. We would highly recommend you stay here!
