This attractive and spacious 5-bedroom, 3-bathroom home on Cedar Hedge Lake in Interlochen, offers an ideal setting for a tranquil vacation. The home accommodates up to 10 guests and is open year-round.

Upon entry, guests are greeted by a welcoming dining area, excellent for group gatherings. Next, a large living room unveils captivating lake views, complemented by a large-screen TV and a welcoming wood-burning fireplace. The fully supplied kitchen, with a dishwasher, boasts ample cooking space and gives lovely views of the lake. From there, guests can access the deck. On the lower level is an inviting family room with a fireplace, a well-stocked bar area, and a ping-pong table.

On the main level, three bedrooms hold a King-sized bed, a Queen-sized bed, and another Queen-sized bed, respectively, while the lower level houses two additional bedrooms, one furnished with a King-sized bed, and the other with a bunk bed (2 Twins) and a Queen-sized bed.

The patio is set up for outdoor dining, revealing unparalleled views. A spacious yard offers an area for games and relaxing. A fire pit is also available for evening gatherings. A rowboat and kayaks create access to the lake.

Conveniently located near the Interlochen Center for the Arts and the Interlochen Golf Club, this home is also near local attractions and the Cherry Bowl Drive-in theater. In the winter, Crystal Mountain Resort and Iron Fish Distillery are within easy reach.

Beautiful house on a quiet lake. Plenty of room for a group of five girls without having to use any of the bathrooms. Nice large deck looking out towards the lake. Kitchen was a little out-dated compared to the rest of the house. One of the kitchen drawers was off it tracks and didn’t close correctly. Which wasn’t an inconvenience for us as we only used the refrigerator. Loved the downstairs living room and the ping pong table was a hit.

Lovely home located in quiet neighborhood on peaceuful lake. We stayed here as a family of six after picking up our youngest from a three week camp at nearby Interlochen Center for the Arts. This was excellently located for access to the camp, and an easy 20-30 minute drive to Traverse City. Morning coffee on the deck overlooking the lake was my favorite. Also loved paddling around the lake and enjoying the Loons and Swans on the lake. We had so much fun here! Property is clean and spacious, brighter even than it appears in the photos. Had a blast playing ping pong in the basement, too!

Lake Haven was a wonderful spot for our family. We traveled about the area and used the house as our home base. Plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen could use an update but we only had breakfast at house so it wasn't an issue. Did have an issue with toilet in master bedroom not flushing, and unfortunately it was Labor Day week-end and no plumber should be found before we left (which was only 1 day). Good place to hang out and chill.

First, the house was great, good decor, well stocked, roomy enough for 10 people. The view across the lake was lovely with loons, ducks and swans although the geese were not welcome visitors to the dock and lawn. Water temperature was just right. A good bit of lake weed on the bottom.Second, we reported on Wednesday that the ladder on the raft was loose, the right side about to detach, too dangerous for adults to use. The person who took our message at Up North said she would pass the message to someone in charge who would handle the situation and call us that day or the next. We never heard again from Up North, and the ladder was not repaired by the time we left on Saturday morning. We missed usage of the raft.

Overall had a great visit. Great central location. Hiked the state park Lost Lake trail. House lay out was good. Clean. Kitchen space sufficient. Left grill better then received Swing was big hit even with grandma. Lake was peaceful and good fishing. Lots of swimming. We had to wear water shoes but kids got use to it. Loons were added bonus. Would consider a revisit. Especially if we could bring our dog. No dogs(I get it) allowed but evidently neighbors dog can visit. Grandson stepped in black lab poo just before leaving. So we had an unexpected clean up -

A Beautiful home on Cedar Hedge Lake

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful, spacious Lake Haven home while attending a Memorial weekend wedding in Grawn. The house had plenty of room for all of us adults with a beautiful view out of the living room and some bedroom windows. We enjoyed the bonfire area, kayaking on the lake, hiking the nearby Lost Lake Trail, eating on the beautiful deck. Would recommend this home to anyone with a larger group (sleeps up to 12 people)! Hope to be back here again one day!

The house suited our needs great for us four couples. Location is wonderful in a quiet neighborhood close to the actives and restaurants we went to.The place was clean , and used the fireplace which was nice in the winter.The mattress in the yellow room could need replacing as the couple in that room felt like a taco. And one couple remembered that there were no dish towels provided and brought some along, so that could be something that’s provided? All in all, we had a fun time with lots of laughs and made new memories.

The house was equipped with all you could need, and things not supplied were communicated to us ahead of time. Grocery store and tavern within a few miles, 20 min from Traverse City. Very comfortable house for all ages. Our group of 8 ranged in ages from 8 mth to 62 and everyone was happy with this choice. There is a State Park about 1/4 mile away with trails to hike, bike, or ski. Grocery store and gas station are a couple miles away. House was clean, there were a few little things that I might have paid closer attention to, like dust and cobwebs in the ceiling vents, but overall - most everything was good. If you think you might use the fireplace(s), you may want to bring some dry wood. There was wood available, but it is wet and made for a poor fire. Great location and tons of natural light pouring in! Kitchen is well stocked. As with most rentals - you aren't going to find great non-stick fry pans, so maybe bring a couple of your favorites.

Perfect location for our snowboarding weekend @ Crystal. Plenty of room, very clean and the ping pong table was a hit. The views of the lake were so peaceful.We ate dinner twice at Bradleys Pub and Grill. Everything was delicious.There weren't any hair dryers in any of the 3 bathrooms which should probably be mentioned and also, less than a 1/2 of a roll of paper towels. I only mention this so that renters know to bring them.We loved it here and would definitely return if we are in the area.

The sunny weather all week provided us with a fun, family vacation. The cottage location is great on Cedar Hedge Lake with fishing right off the dock. Swimming back and forth to nearby raft was fun, too.The Cottage accommodates our large family with 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The property was clean and we left it clean and vacuumed when we left. Two couches need replacement. The one next to kitchen wall is worn out that when an adult sits on it, he goes to the floor. The sleeper sofa in basement family room has a sign on it to not use as sleeper is broken. These should be replaced as we would like to come back next year.

The house was clean, and smelled wonderful. Pretty much anything you would need in a kitchen was available. The coffee maker did have soem overflow issues, otherwise everything was functional. The washer and dryer were very much appreciated with a family of 12.All of the bedrooms were nice, beds were comfy, plenty of things to do were provided: board games, a wii, the wi-fi was very adequate, 2 TVs, ping pong table, sand toys. The water was beautiful, the lake was quiet. There are plenty of things to do nearby, as well. My children, grandchildren and I really enjoyed our time at this house.

We even played ping pong which most of us had not played in several years. Definitely created some memories!! The only downside if any, would be the water smell. We had a wonderful time. The property was very clean and well stocked with videos and toys for the kids including a ping pong table which was well used. We used the canoe several times for fishing. Only thing that was sub par was the refrigerator which did not get cold enough.Ideally located property with beautiful view out of the windows towards the lake.

This place was really nice and worked well for our family. The location was perfect for both hanging out at the lake and as a base for excursions to Traverse City and Lake Michigan. I almost did not rent this place because the rental agreement had so many prohibitions, but after talking with the company on the telephone I went ahead with the rental and was so happy I did. Our only suggestions is for the company to add beach towels to the inventory for the home. I hope you enjoy this place as much as we did!!

Stayed August 12th/19. Home was gorgeous, loved the kayaks and swimming in lake. Close to Sleeping Bear beaches, bird poop on grass was awful. No tool provided to make removal easy when requested. Staff helpful otherwise providing ice trays, light bulbs. Would definitely rent this home again, well stocked kitchen pots, pans, very clean.

My family (husband, our 2 small children, and in-laws of 4 more adults and 2 other small children!) and I stayed at Lake Haven for the week of Labor Day. We were impressed with the size and comfort of the home. There was plenty of room for all of us to spread out or to hang out together. The kitchen and dining room were on the small size for a gathering of 10 but we ended up eating many of our meals outside on the deck just off the kitchen. We were only 20 minutes from Traverse City and 30 minutes from Sleeping Bear Dunes which was perfect for toting the kids around. It was a pleasant surprise to find toys, books, games, and movies for the kids - we could have packed much less! We spent most of our time on the deck or by the fire pit watching the kids play in the HUGE sandbox - they loved it! The row boat and paddle boat were fun to check out the lake. The dock and raft are in great shape, and while the water was chilly, the water was shallow for the kids and crystal clear! We would definitely stay again or even check out other available properties - we really appreciated the professional and helpful set up of Visit Up North Vacation Rentals. Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay here for a family vacation. This home is very nice, clean and well equipped with everything you would need for your stay. The kids played in the water and fished everyday. The row boat and paddle boat were nice to have to use as well. Bonus was the floating dock which wasn't in the original description. There was more than enough room for our group which turned out to be 13 people. Also enough parking space. The only complaint would be that the dining area is small. So our group couldn't eat together. However there was two tables outside if we had choose to eat out there. Also, there was only one dish towel and one wash cloth. We had to buy some from the store. Check out time is at 10:00 which we thought would be difficult to get out by then, but we did it. Good thing cause the cleaning lady was there right at 10:00. I really can't think of anything else I would change here. Great place to just hang out with family.

We were extremely happy with the 5 bedroom home on Lake Haven. It was clean and well-maintained and stocked. Being located on the clean quiet lake with a nice dock, paddle boat and row boat was super fun. We noted that past reviews that had suggestions were acted upon by the owners. Looking for negatives was difficult but here they are. Additional dish towels are needed. The bedrooms without dressers should have a luggage rack. A folding size table off the deck would be a nice addition. WE LOVED THE HOME OVERALL.

We didn't want to leave. This is a sweet house in a lively setting. It was immaculate and the linens and bedding are quality and clean. The dock and swim island are pleasant. My young adult kids thought it looked a jcrew ad. The up north people are great and I recommend the house. It's dark in the bedrooms -- great for sleep but not easy to read. For me another lamp or two and/ or brighter bulbs would be nice. All in all this is a great place to gather and kick back.

We had a wonderful time at this house. The location was perfect. We loved the lake, the outside patio space, the fire pit,the ping pong table, and the nesting loons. There were twelve of us and the sleeping space was fine. Eating inside was a little problematic, but we managed. There was plenty of parking space as we all came in different cars from all across the country. We also appreciated the firewood.If I had any complaints, it would be the fact that there was not enough silverware for more than one meal without washing everything. Otherwise the kitchen was well equipped. We would rent this again.

Nice Stay at Lake Haven

We just returned from a week's stay at Lake Haven. We were a party of 10 and the house had plenty of room. We enjoyed the lake, which is sandy bottomed but a little weedy and marshy at the edges. The kids enjoyed the swimming raft, which was a surprise and the row boat and paddle boat were fun as well. The yard, dock and beachy area are all nicely maintained and we enjoyed many fires at night. The bedrooms are all spacious enough, however all the mattresses could use replacing and there is not enough lighting for reading in bed at night. Unfortunately, my husband and I shared the bedroom with no dresser and broken closet door. The kitchen is adequately stocked with a large refrigerator. The Interlochen location is nice because it's close to Traverse City. However, our group loves to explore National Lakeshore/M22 corridor, which is quite a drive from Cedar Hedge Lake. All in all, a very nice stay in a lovely, well-maintained house.

We are so happy you enjoyed Lake Haven. We checked with the owner on the mattresses and they had all been purchased new in the last 2 years. Comfort levels are different for everyone and wonder perhaps they were too soft or hard for you. We have addressed any maintenance issues and any future stays should be more enjoyable. When traveling around our area make sure to get good maps. There are many back roads that take you to locations all over without getting into traffic. You can catch the M-22 corridor about 15 minutes from this location.

Nice, but Cooking was a Challenge

Lake Haven is an excellent location for rest and relaxation. It is also very close to the Interlochen Center for the Arts. The home is in good condition and there is plenty of room for 12 people. There were an adequate number of towels, sheets, and blankets. Cedar Hedge Lake was clean, but the lake floor is mucky. It was not a problem for some, but others might prefer to wear swim shoes. The lake is only about 3-4 feet deep at the end of the dock, which was great for the kids. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. There were a couple of closets that had not been dusted in weeks. Overall, the house was well furnished, the furniture was comfortable, it had two living areas, and there were even had some kid toys.The biggest drawback to the home was the kitchen and the dining room. The dining room could not seat 12 individuals, but that was not a problem for us for we ate outside everyday. There was plenty of seating for 12 plus people outside.The bigger problem was the kitchen and the grill. First the positive, the stove, oven, and refrigerator were in excellent working order. The kitchen had plenty of plates, cups, drinking glasses, and silverware for 12, but the cooking utensils were poor at best. The rental company does suggest that you bring special things that you might need, but I was expecting the basics in fair to good condition. Most of the cooking utensils were in poor condition at best. For example, there were two non-stick pans and one was seriously scratched which made it no longer a non-stick pan. The other pan literally had the Teflon falling off. Fortunately, we had the grill to cook most of our meals. However, even though the grill was clean, the grate was so badly rusted that I ended up buying a new grate for the grill. Overall, the house and the location were nice, but be prepared to either 1. Eat out/order out or 2. Grill most of your meals or 3. Bring your own cookware.

The house was very nice, but because the floor plan was NOT open, it tended to get very hot in the upstairs rooms. That did not keep us from having a good time. The toilet in the upstairs bathroom needs to be fixed so it does not run all the time. We ended up taking the tank lid off so we could push the seal down whenever we flushed, so it would not run constantly.

The lower patio is spacious and well designed with plenty of seating. We are a family of 4 with our spouses--all seniors. We travel to a new location every year and we were all pleased with this home. The management company was absolutely fantastic to deal with.

What a great place to relax. Lovely surrounding. Beautiful view. Very secluded.Two night was not enough. Loved the fire pit right by the water. All of us enjoyed that a lot. The only downside to it – lots of stairs. Would definitely recommend putting some kind of lights on the stairs that lead to the water. Night time you cannot see anything. Other than that I would recommend it to anybody who is looking for peaceful and relaxing place to vacation.
