Located just north of the village of Suttons Bay, this delightful lodge-style home on 100’ of beautiful West Grand Traverse Bay is a nice retreat for long weekends or a week-long vacation. Cedarview has three bedrooms and two bathrooms and sleeps up to 10 guests.
Upstairs, there are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with a queen and two twins. The third bedroom is located on the main floor with a queen bed, and there is a sofa bed in the living room. The lower level also has two full bathrooms. The living room and dining room overlook the water. Inside or out, the view of the bay is right in front of you. The living room has a gas fireplace for cool nights and fall retreats.
Wake up to breathtaking sunrises and sparkling blue water at this beautiful spot on the bay. Have breakfast on the deck and drink it all in. This home is on a nicely shaded lot that opens up to a sunny beach. Grill the catch of the day on the provided gas grill. Enjoy the meal out on the deck, where there is ample seating.
The Leelanau Sands Casino is within walking distance of this location. It is an easy drive to Suttons Bay, Omena, and Northport. Suttons Bay has plenty to do with shops, dining, and a vintage movie theater. This is a great location for visiting Leelanau's wineries and breweries. Enjoy hiking, biking, water sports, and more!

Great views of the water. Very nice beach area and yard. Water is very shallow and rocky. Kids had a blast on the beach and in the water. Accommodations are comfortable with great family room views. Issues (small) were handled very quickly.

Did you have a good overall stay? Yes! Was the vacation rental in a great location? Yes, we enjoy the location in Peshawbestown, and used the recycling center and shopped at the gas station, which is very convenient. The cottage is very quiet, away from the road and busy towns.Was the home clean and in good shape? Yes. The only thing we didn't like are the outside chair cushions. We also did not know how to get the tv to show our platforms such as Netflix, etc. Maybe better instructions? We thought the remote needed batteries, which we changed out.Was the vacation rental management staff helpful? Yes, I appreciate the phone calls checking with us and we contacted you regarding the BBQ and the damaged BBQ pieces which were replaced by your maint person right away. I want to reserve Cedar View for the same week in 2025.

Nice cabin along M22 & on Grand Traverse Bay. The cabin had everything we needed, but the decor could use a few updates. The wraparound deck and fire pit provide the best view for wildlife, boaters & sunrise. Great location between multiple tourist attractions. Loved our stay!

Our family stayed in this lovely rental June 2024. The view is gorgeous, with a bit of sandy Beach and great location, with a few minutes of downtown Sutton's Bay. Managers are extremely helpful and reach out to make sure you have everything you need. Very clean and well-maintained. We will definitely stay again!

My girlfriends and I stayed at this cabin for a girls weekend wine tasting. Overall we had a good experience, however, the cabin itself was very dusty. It is dated, but they are making improvements (updated bathrooms, which were nice, a beautiful and large new deck, new counter tops in the kitchen, and new living room furniture). You cannot beat the views!

Very nice place. Girls weekend trip for eight for the third year in a row. Nice new renovations to bathrooms and new deck. Complaints we have is it does advertise sleeps 10, which it will, but there isn’t enough seating. One couch and one chair is all there is so we bring our outdoor chais in so we can sit together. Suggest a wrap around couch. Also, could use a deep cleaning. Behind the beds, dressers and baseboards are very dirty. Comforter upstairs had stains on it. Microwave didn’t work.

We had a great stay and space worked for our family of 6 plus my parents for a couple days. The few things that were missing upon arrival were brought to us right away after we reported it. Agency was very responsive and helpful. 4 stars on location only because its a little difficult to find, people walked across our beach one morning and dogs were on the property running around off leash, and the rocky beach wasn’t ideal for my little guy but overall still a lovely place!

The view here is lovely and the chairs and the picnic table allowed us to sit outside and enjoy it.The table and chairs on the deck were great for outside dining.It is a peaceful spot with ducks swimming by, gulls occasionly diving for crayfish and passing loons.The beach is more rocky than sandy and the water is crystal clear.

We enjoyed our stay at Cedarview Cottage. The view, the nightly campfires and the beach/lake were lovely. The cottage itself needs a good deep cleaning and some updating. The sheets and towels were clean but some furniture was dusty and the leak under the kitchen sink caused a moldy smell. The upstairs bedrooms were quite hot as the air-conditioning doesn't sufficiently cool those two bedrooms and there was only one small working fan for our use. The pull out couch we tried to use was nonfunctional and in need of repair. Also, the couches were well used and should be replaced or deep cleaned. I would recommend these pretty easy upgrades because the property was well worth our family gathering in the Suttons Bay area.

With every rental you will see some wear and tear. However it seemed as though this rental has been let go as there was obvious (patch work) that was continuously looked over, or was meant to be fixed later on. Also, the outside of the cabin could use some cleanup as there was trash and the yard was long. Overall this rental met our needs for the weekend but could be an amazing rental for a family. The upstairs allows for ample room for your own oasis.

Our group of 8 wine tasting ladies spent a long weekend in this house in September. The house worked well for us, plenty of sleeping space, linens, & towels. It would have been nice to have a bathroom upstairs but we made do with the two on the main floor. It is close to Sutton's Bay & many wineries. The location is so perfect, right on the water, that you hate to leave for any reason. The house was very clean & Visit Up North was very responsive when we had a problem with the coffee maker. I've rented from VRBO many times & must say that having Visit Up North involved made the trip much better. They sent all the info we needed prior to arrival & then checked in with us a couple of times to make sure we were happy with the house. Would love to go back in the summer!

The frontage is great. We enjoyed swimming and searching for Petoskey stones! It’s a short drive to downtown Sutton’s Bay and Northport. Know that it’s a good 30 minutes at least into downtown Traverse City. If you’re looking to spend a lot of time there, the drive gets to be a bit much.The place itself is more cottage/cabin than “house”. It was comfortable and fine for the price. A few changes could make a BIG difference. New window treatments (especially in living room/dining room area-curtains don’t even cover the windows), new couches or even just new mattresses in couches-both leaked, bathroom update, etc. All that being said, it’s a pretty good place. Just bring airbeds to make up for the bad sofa mattresses and plan on being up with the sun if you’re sleeping in the living room!

As you anticipate what your vacation time will be like you think all good things and want everything to be perfect. Then reality sets in and realize your dreaming if you think it's all going to be peaches and cream. Well, as we pulled in off M22 through a casino parking lot and on to a dirt drive with overgrown thickets on both sides I felt reality setting in. Then we pulled in the cottage past the garage and thought, oh this looks pretty nice. Then we went inside and thought wow, this place is nice! Then we went through the house and looked out the giant glass windows and found our own tropical paradise, all to our own! The back yard lead right into the bay and it was like we had Lake Michigan all to ourselves! Back inside the kitchen, living area and bedrooms were spacious and more than accomudating. We settled in for the most relaxing and enjoyable vacation we've ever had. We had a kayak delivered to the cottage and had fires every night and watched the moon rise over the bay. There are tons of things to do in the area and you never really had to travel more than 20 miles from "home". I'd recommend the cottage and area to everyone. I feel we received more than we ever expected!

We had a wonderful girls getaway at Sutton's Bay - the cottage was PERFECT for us. It easily accommodated 6 of us. The beds were very comfortable,we had beautiful views, and it was close to so many great places and good eats. Only negatives were the amount of bugs outside...we weren't able to do a campfire because they were so bad and the hot water for showers did not last more than 3 minutes. Other than that - ZERO complaints. I'd stay here again!

This house was absolutely perfect for our group of 4 moms and 6 kids. Great location and spectacular view! Management staff was so helpful and quickly resolved any issues we had.

Overall we were very happy with our lake front house.a few things that need to be addressed,hot water didn't work in master shower, loose deck boards, couple lawn chairs are broken and a/c works great down stairs but doesn't cool upstairs. The up North staff was great to work with and this house has a great location and view of the lake!
