This rustic, two-bedroom, one-bathroom log cabin on Elk Lake is a perfect vacation spot for a small family or couple with a little over 500 sq feet. It is located off a quiet road in Williamsburg. Enjoy the sparkling blue hues and hard sandy bottom of this all-sports lake. The main space in the home is an open living room and dining area.
Outside, there is a cute little porch perfect for morning coffee and watching the sun come up. Talk about relaxing! The yard is spacious enough for kids to play and the dog to run. The main road to this house is peaceful enough for walking or riding a bike. There is also a dock and fire pit.
The house is near Turtle Creek Casino and Elk Rapids. Traverse City is an easy 15-minute drive.
One well-mannered dog is allowed, and owners must clean up after their pet.

Cabin was great, location was great, water was great. We had a ton of fun on the water. The only negative was the hot water heater is very small. Maybe a on demand one would be better.

Great location for an Elk Lake/Torch Lake vacation! This rustic cabin was as listed - cabin was clean and well-kept for an older cabin. The location on the lake is great and the provided mooring buoy was perfect for a pontoon. The shore entry is a rock wall, which could be a bit challenging for smaller children or people with mobility challenges. This cabin gives you great proximity to Elk Rapids and Torch Lake. Check-in/Check-out was easy and instructions from host were clear.

Cozy small cottage in a beautiful setting overlooking the lake. Older cabin but clean and functional. Large lot with privacy. Close to Travers City. Two small bedrooms with queen size beds. Small bathroom and kitchen.

This place worked out for us, but I want to emphasize it is VERY rustic. There are parts of it where you can see the light of day, which does let insects and critters in. We greatly appreciated that it was dog friendly, our dogs absolutely loved lounging in the sun lake side. One caution is there were several critter and bug traps which I had to pick up, because the gels are poisonous to dogs. We ended up meeting some of the neighbors in the area and everyone was great! You pay for the lake view, its so peaceful. I think the owners could put in a little bit of money to really make the place more cozy. Additionally we could have done with some house directions. Every rental we have ever stayed in has had them, but this didn't. For example it got chilly at night and we weren't sure which heaters to use and how. TV could have used instructions as well. We were likely the first up there for the season as the lawn needed mowing and the landscaping needed a spring clean up. The propery management company is really great to work with!

This rustic cabin is a great place to hang on Elk Lake. Morning views are spectacular. Renters beware that there is no central heat, no ceiling in the bedrooms (ultimate open concept), and plumbing in the bathroom is reversed for hot and cold water. If your looking for a quiet rustic place, this cabin is for you!

Thank you for the feedback! The cabin now has multiple heating options for chilly nights including a gas fireplace, a gas heating unit that heats the entire cabin, and several portable electric heaters. The plumbing has been upgraded throughout, the mislabeled faucets in the bathroom have been fixed, a new multifunction showerhead was installed, and the septic system was completely replaced in the summer of 2022.
