This wonderful ranch-style home on East Grand Traverse Bay is conveniently located near downtown Traverse City and has dozens of great dining spots. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms in this spacious property.
The living room is roomy and bright and has a gas fireplace. There are two TVs--cable in one bedroom, streaming only in the living room. The water views from all of the windows are spectacular.
Outdoors, enjoy a big yard and over 100' of beachfront with gorgeous sunrise views. There is outdoor dining with additional seating on the deck right out the bedroom door. This rental is a short walk to the Traverse City State Park and a beach area along the shoreline.
The east side of town location gets you easy access to many activities in this area. Go just east of this location for the Great Lakes Equestrian Horse Show and the Turtle Creek Casino. The Traverse City Film Festival, Cherry Festival, Brew and Wine Fests, and much more are on the west side of town. Travel up the Old Mission Peninsula to taste the wine and see the spectacular scenery. Elk Rapids is also an easy trip from here.

Nice,clean place; good location. A few minor problems, like the gas fireplace not working, and no dishwasher detergent. One major thing: Furnace broke down, but emergency repair was done after-hours on a Saturday night.

I have rented this property several times over the past five years. I rented it the first year that it was available and it needed ALOT of work, we gave it a chance the next year and there was some improvement. We rented a different property last year and came back to this one this year. It has remained the same with no improvements. I realize this is a beach cottage type rental. It is on the water there will be spiders, bugs, sand is to be expected. The main issue is the property itself. There has been a dock that has been dismantled on top of a sand hill for the past 4 years, that completely blacks, the view of the bay when sitting by the fire. Overgrown trees, cobwebs, if there was just a minimal amount of upkeep, and a small investment back into the landscaping, basically a day of cleaning and this property would look much more appealing. (My family pitched in when we checked in and cleaned up the beach and some of the old dead bushes, which is not something we should do on vacation paying a substantial amount of money to stay there.) The pull out beds are extremely old and the mattresses are extremely uncomfortable. No one could sleep there so that was two beds that we could not utilize. The sunroom gets very warm because of the skylight so didn’t use that bedroom the way we had planned.

We found that the internet and tv were not working when we first arrived and we contacted the company. One lady was very nice/professional and said she was going to help get to the bottom of it, but never followed up any more the rest of the weekend, so we did not have TV or internet access at all the entire time. Since we spent most of our time outdoors/exploring it wasn't the end of the world, but we feel like we paid for services we didn't have and that was pretty frustrating at times when relaxing around the house. Additionally we had people who needed to finish up work items that struggled to connect to internet, which made the first day/night stressful

I rented out this house for a bachelorette weekend in April. It was a bit chilly outside so we did have to stay inside more often but it has a cute, warm fireplace but not as much 'comfy' furniture for everyone to sit together in the living room. I loved the amount of rooms, beds and bathrooms (the master suite(s) were very adorable). It was super close to town and a very affordable price. bring some extra trash bags if you are staying for a longer weekend as you do have to put all your trash in bags per their requirements but overall, loved it! nothing really bad to say in any way.

There was 8 of us who comfortably stayed here for a 40th birthday celebration. It was very clean, large, and an amazing view. The location is great! The only complaints is that one of the beds was a little too firm, and the large bedroom was cold but it worked perfectly for us! The house had everything we needed including coffee. The owners called the day before just to be sure we didn't have any questions. Everything was super easy to navigate throughout the whole process. I would for sure come back to this house!

We rented this home for a girls wine weekend. The location was great right on the bay. We liked the layout and the 3 bathrooms. Large kitchen and areas to hang out in. We also had a fire outside one night which was really nice. My only issue was that there’s not an easy to find sign or address posted and the outdoor light closest to the road was out. So we had a hard time finding it and so did our wine tour bus and Shipt delivery person. Overall I’d stay again knowing where it is now.

The location right on the bay is great. There are a few restaurants and things close by, but you're also a short drive from downtown TC. Everything was exactly as the pictures showed and the house was actually bigger than I expected. Overall, we had a great stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Gorgeous view, cozy fireplace. Plenty of space and bathrooms. Nice touches like playing cards, puzzles, area guide. We had a minor maintenance issue and is was fixed within 2 hours of contact the rental company. They were accommodating to our requests and very helpful. Located back a ways from the main drag, but not in a place where I’d be able to let kids roam the yard or feel safe walking places due to the heavy traffic. The view onto the bay was gorgeous, and with a more adequate space heater the back bedroom would be perfect!The furniture, though very good looking, was pretty uncomfortable for lounging, and the coffee maker takes 45 minutes to brew a pot. Wonderful home base for our adventures.

The house is absolutely gorgeous - inside and out! Very clean and well maintained. The lake is literally 50 steps away and downtown Traverse city is a couple of minutes by car. We enjoyed ourselves so much! We were within 15-20 minutes of all of the wineries we chose to visit as well.

We had a great stay in TC. The house was off of a busy street but we felt we had a lot of privacy and the noise was minimal. It was a short trip into the city which was nice and close to the grocery stores. The house was very clean. The 4th bedroom was FREEZING at first but there was a space heater that really did the trick, it ended up being great sleeping temp. House had all the essentials that we needed. Unfortunately, it was raining most the time but we loved the private backyard, wish we could have used the firepit and outdoor seating. Could see this being the perfect summer house.

I miss it already. Rooms have new flooring and everything was very clean. The staff was very attentive and made sure our stay went great. The house was well appointed. Had all the necessities, bedrooms were nicely done, the kitchen was spacious and the family room was very comfortable. We loved watching all the ducks and wild life on the bay out the back of the house. Beautiful views all day. The house had had some renovations we observed that were great. Only problems was finding moldy coffee grounds in the Mr. Coffee and one of the bathroom sinks was not clean. Everything else was top notch.

It is a beautiful house with plenty of space for a bigger group(comfortably fit 10 of us), location was perfect(right on the lake, some privacy, buy still close to town), and Visit Up North Vacation Rentals was extremely nice and helpful with everything. Clean house and came with more things than I expected. Including: lots of kitchen supplies to make our food with, plenty of towels, linens, extra pillows, toilet paper, paper towel, some cleaning supplies, soap for the dish washer, etc.

Stay was very nice. Location is perfect on the bay and close to downtown. Rooms are very large. A few items need adjusted-bathtub is slippery, water gets very hot quickly, and some windows could not open due to inoperable cranks or missing screens. A few of the outside lights were not working in driveway.

Relaxing and nice , I definitely recommend but a few things need repair. None of the bathroom electrical sockets worked. The cleaning crew needs to take down the abundance of spider webs. The side door from the laundry room wouldn’t open, the sun rooms ceiling fan blade was broken and 2 dining room chairs broken. It felt someone neglected but overall fine. This house is on 31 and it’s very very busy and noisey

We highly recommend this home and rental company. The property was accurately described and did not disappoint. There were many chairs outside and the view was beautiful. Benefits include having a thick tree-line to the left of the house, and open area to the right to account for lots of privacy. The property was clean and the furniture was very comfortable. We did not have good weather, so it was really nice to have a great inside space while still enjoying the lake.

Had the best time at this house, the location was amazing and the house was exactly what we needed! The sun hit the backyard until 5pm so we were able to be at the beach, hang out in the backyard and relax/play games. It was also a quick uber ride to downtown Traverse City and was very close to a Walgreens and Speedway so when we needed ice, more beer, water, etc it was a quick trip.The only 2 things I would note is there is not a wine opener so if you are planning on drinking wine bring your own and the walk out dock picture on the cover of the picture was not set up. We brought blow up floats so we were still able to go on the water.Finally the staff at visit up north was extremely helpful and friendly! I am planning on coming back to Northern MI with my husband and child and will definitely be renting through visit up north again in the future!

Accommodating house and perfect beach with little ones. There are no neighbors to the right of the house and some tall shrubbery on the left so it feels very spacious and private. The beach was a perfect depth, not too deep for Little’s but not too shallow to enjoy. There is a separation from the water to the house with a rock wall which worked out well with little ones too. The house is close to the beach area too which is nice for being able to play outside without being too far from people or napping Little’s in the house. The house interior is older but everything worked well. Two of the bedrooms were smaller so it could be tight with a pack n play set up inside, but it was manageable. Very close to downtown TC which was nice too. On a very busy highway, but you can’t hear the road noise too much inside the house and not at all on the backside by the water.

The Beach House

We stayed in the same home last summer so we like the house and location. Things that improved from last year were the window coverings, the kitchen table, a bed in the beach room. We were happy to see these changes.My husband had to screw the handle back on the sliding glass door in the main bedroom and fix the bedroom door because the hinge was coming off and the door would not shut. He also had to plunge the sink in the main bath. Little things but annoying. What we were most sad about was the dock. It was much shorter that last year and did not have the seating as it shows in the picture on the right. We loved to sit there and watch the kids play and jump in the water. It was left on the beach in a giant heap. It also would have been nice to have a sand rake, the beach was left dirty from the last group (watermelon rinds and chip bags).

Family Vacation 2018

We had 6 adults and 4 kids at this property. Positives were that there was plenty of room for all of us. The house was clean and comfortable inside, though the bathrooms were a little dated. The view of the East Bay was simply stunning. The kids enjoyed the beach area. Negative is that the exterior could use some TLC. Zero curb appeal. Close to downtown shopping and restaurants. We spent a day at Sleeping Bear Dunes and a day on Mackinac Island, played some mini golf at Pirates Cove and attended a Traverse City Bums baseball game. All fun!Management company was good and I would use them again.

Great Stay at East Bay

We rented the East Bay home for my sister's Bachelorette Party and it was beyond perfect. It comfortably slept everyone, plus it has 3 bathrooms (all with showers!) It was a great location, clean, and was so nice to have a beach! Would highly recommend this property.

Overall our stay at the beach house was exceptional. The house was clean, it had a wonderful view of the east bay, It was tucked back far enough off the main road that noise was never an issue. The house comfortably slept 12 people. The property management company personally called me the morning after our arrival to make sure everything was what I expected. It was only a short Lyft ride (which is now available in TC) to downtown and right next door to the DNR boat launch and beach. Overall, A great place that I would recommend to anyone looking for trip with a large group. We will be back!

We enjoyed our stay at the Beach House. The home is very roomy and location is fantastic. Plenty of room for the kids to play in and outside the house. Condition is good. Close to town yet right on the beautiful bay beach. House could use some window coverings, that would make it perfect.
