Enjoy the quaint villages along the lakeshore, shop at one of a kind wine, cheese and artisian bread shops. Maybe you prefer a stroll on the miles of pristine sandy beaches under cool fall skies.
ELK RAPIDS – The beautiful, sandy shores of Elk Rapids attracts boaters, day trippers and sunbathers to this wonderful part of northern Michigan. Grace Memorial Harbor is one of the best around with 220 slips. There are also launches on Birch, Bass and Elk Lake. The village offers quaint shops and unique restraunts that will keep you busy all day. The area also offers great golf courses, and swimming beaches. Check out Harbor Days (August 1-4, 2007) or family fun during “Evening on River Street” (Wednesdays in July & August) and much more. This little town is a well kept secret… but not for long!
